Pareto’s Law, also known as the 80/20 rule is the principle that 80% of the effects will always come from 20% of the causes.
So 80% of your revenue will come from 20% of your customers. The other side of this though is that 80% of your problems will also come from 20% of your customers.
If we know though that 80% of our results will come from 20% of our actions then it does mean we can focus on the 20% to give us some quick wins.
If 20% of the work gets you 80% of the results then utilise the following quick wins in SEO.
1. Keyword Research:
For every page of your website, ask yourself what would you want people to type in to find that page. Come up with a primary search term and a secondary search term.
2. Page Titles:
Put your primary search term and secondary search term into your page title in the correct order – no more than 65 characters.
Ideally format it as – Primary search term | Secondary search term | Company name
3. Content:
Have content on every page – if you are e-commerce don’t just have your products on your category page have 150-200 words of content explaining what the page is about.
Just 3 simple factors that don’t take too much time but will get you quick wins and some quick results.
