The Breakout Media Academy is run to train disadvantaged young people in digital media skills; so they can create a future career path for themselves within this growing industry.
We believe that professional industry training, work experience in a real commercial environments and life coaching are powerful tools that will empower young people to leap forward and bridge the digital divide.

The training schedule is demanding and complemented with practical experiences of a real work environment. Trainees are required to attend all elements, share and develop their skills, realise business solutions through team work and sustained concentration as well as completing their work to deadlines. All of which are valuable life skills that can be applied to personal and working situations.
On some of the courses we run, Breakout Media augment the industry training we provide with business and career coaching to help our trainees plan for the future and achieve their goals. We also deliver ILM training in effective team and mentoring skills, to provide additional work-related skills to our trainees.
Our clients include Educational Institutions, Local Authorities, Private Employers, Social Enterprise, Youth Charities and Youth Offending Teams.
How Is The Training Funded?
We work with partners to source public and charitable investment to fund this much needed training provision. As the commercial side of Breakout Media grows, we intend to reinvest our profit into funding this training ourselves.
